CASE STUDIES - ALBUM PROJECT

When Talitha MacKenzie first approached Iain McKinna to produce tracks on the album, Iain told her she'd got the wrong guy, that he wasn't a folk/world music producer. Talitha said, "That's why I want you to do it."

Other tracks on the album were produced by Chris Birkett, whose production credits include Buffy St Marie & Steve Earle.
Initially Talitha came to the Offbeat studio and I programmed beats to the Gaelic chants and songs into a EMU EPS16+ keyboard. We then went into Palladium Studios to add the musical parts played by the session musicians we had sourced for the album.

We eventually fomed a band from these musicians to promote the album around the UK and Europe and Canada. Also touring Scotland as support act for Runrig.
